3/23/10 •
Turkey was great: Istanbul, Ephesus and Bursa (for some skiing). I went with my Mom — she went to do some medical lecturing — and with Marsha (Mom’s sister). We had a blast! For more posts about Turkey, including about Ephesus, Istanbul and skiing.
Turkey Friends II (0)
There is so much that will be added to this post. I just wanted to get some of my pictures up. I love my friends in Istanbul. We always have a great time together and the night life is pretty cool, too. (More to come.)
Ephesus: Just Like New York 2,000 Years Ago (0)
Two thousand years ago, Ephesus was a lot like New York today. With a population of over 200,000, it was the thrid largest city in the world (after Rome and Alexandria). It was a beautiful city. The streets were paved with marble and the wealthy lived in mansions with heat and indoor plumming. It was a biblical city as well.

“A Little Night Music” with the Beautiful and Talented Catherine Zeta-Jones (0)
A Little Night Music on Broadway stars Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The play was excellent, and I loved seeing Angela Lansbury on stage. But my favorite was Catherine Zeta-Jones because she is a very good singer and a real knockout … grrrrrrrrrrr.
“Avatar” the Movie Was Great in 3-D at the Lowe’s Theater on 34th Street! (0)
I saw Avatar in 3-D but here are some still photos that I took. Yes, it’s me, Carnegie. and I don’t write reviews, but … The movie, Avatar, is like the futuristic pay-it-forward of colonialism. This great movie in 3-D will revive movie theaters, which maybe should consider expanding concessions to include actual food. My vote? Best movie of the year so far, and I am not even a science friction fan.
