2/06/10 •
My friend Ken Stott (the famous English actor) is starring in “God of Carnage” on Broadway. I loved the show; it was great, and I got to be in it. After wards, we went to the Caprice restaurant at the Pierre Hotel for a way spectacular dinner!
Friday Nite with Yoyo Ma & Emanual Ax at Carnegie Hall, and The Marshall Tucker Band at B.B. Kings (0)
On Friday, January 29th, The Marshall Tucker band was in Town the same night that Yoyo Ma and Emanual Ax were playing at Carnegie Hall. Yoyo Ma & Emanual Ax were great, and Marshall Tucker (Southern Rock’s best) just keeps getting better and better.
“A Little Night Music” with the Beautiful and Talented Catherine Zeta-Jones (0)
A Little Night Music on Broadway stars Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The play was excellent, and I loved seeing Angela Lansbury on stage. But my favorite was Catherine Zeta-Jones because she is a very good singer and a real knockout … grrrrrrrrrrr.
“Avatar” the Movie Was Great in 3-D at the Lowe’s Theater on 34th Street! (0)
I saw Avatar in 3-D but here are some still photos that I took. Yes, it’s me, Carnegie. and I don’t write reviews, but … The movie, Avatar, is like the futuristic pay-it-forward of colonialism. This great movie in 3-D will revive movie theaters, which maybe should consider expanding concessions to include actual food. My vote? Best movie of the year so far, and I am not even a science friction fan.

Happy NewYear! Carnegie Rocks in 2010 in Key West (0)
New Years Eve 2010 in Key West was ushered in by the dropping of a ginormous ruby pump with a famed drag queen named Sushi inside it. CNN usually covers the shoe drop.
Key West Is One of My Favorite Places to Vacation (0)
I am on vacation in Key West. I was here last New Year’s Eve week, too. It is lovely and like it a lot even though it is very conservative … not! Great plants!!!
Way Cool “Meridian Restaurant” in Winston-Salem North Carolina (0)
Wonderful Christman Eve Dinner. Though I would hardly call myself a restaurant critic, by just being a New Yorker, I am a fussy food foodie. Everyone in New York is an expert on everything (just ask them) … especially food. Anyway, I think that the Meridian Restaurant in Winston-Salem is delicious, especially the fried oysters and the venison osso buco. Yup, it’s top shelf, even by Manhattan standards.
Handel’s “Messiah” at My (Carnegie’s) Hall December 14, 2009 (0)
For me, hearing and seeing Handel’s Messiah at my namesake hall (Carnegie Hall) is one of the high points of the holiday season. I went with friends last night, and it was heavenly. The Hallelujah Chorus really rocks! You’d never know it was classical music.
Nicole Renaud Performs at “La Lunchonette” on Sunday Evenings (0)
Sunday night we had dinner at La Lunchonette. The food was yummy, and so was Nicole Renaud. She is a wonderful singer with the voice of an angel, and she plays the accordion really well too. I guess her French accent is impeccable because she is from Paris France.
